I started this blog primarily to keep track of interesting media I find all across the interwebs. Then I realized that other people might be interested, as well. Occasionally I provide interesting insight and commentary on topics that interest me.

So I finally got around to watching this and it’s … interesting. I can’t make a judgment call on just seeing one episode (there’s apparently a movie and manga as well) but the Gemini in me can certainly relate to the main character’s predicament, although in a less extreme manner. You see, I’m often torn between writing heavy-as-fuck, brutal, angry songs and writing catchy, infectious songs. I try to balance the two within Spitting Angels (not songs about raping and murdering or writing ‘pop’ rubbish songs about holding hands and taking care of the elderly though) but I think my main goal in songcrafting is getting people to confront their inner selves and negative aspects so they can conquer them and grow in a positive direction. Easier said than done though. We’ve conditioned ourselves to be highly resistant to change, even if the change might vastly improve our lives. I can’t say that this anime has such lofty goals but it looks very entertaining so far.
Oh and here’s the manga (which I haven’t read yet):
